Bought to replace the failed starter on our GL550. It's been in use for about a month now and works flawlessly. Honestly I had doubts about the quality because the price was lower than expected but it looks, feels and works just like the original part. As a side note, I have found very little information on the internet on how to replace the starter in these setups and what I need. it really sounded like a pathetic process with references to removing engine mounts or exhaust manifolds to get the job done. I want to share that none of this was necessary, the starter can be removed and replaced without disassembling the car with standard tools. I left the solenoid power wire connected until I unplugged the starter from its socket because I couldn't access it, and then reconnected it to the new starter before putting it back in. Everything else was very easy, just use long extensions. and a swivel for access to the starter mounting bolts.
