My left map light in my 2011 CR-V was going on and off. I changed the lightbulb twice and found it wasn't the lightbulb. Tapping the plastic often brings it back. The dealer wanted to replace the entire headlight assembly at a high cost, a quick internet search revealed the switch itself as the likely culprit, which turned out to be true. The assembly is a little difficult to disassemble, but the process is quite simple. lasted every 10 minutes. Make sure you have a set of sockets on hand, the standard screws are difficult to loosen and are easy to remove if you try to remove them with a Phillips head screwdriver.
