Fits and works great!

Fits and works perfectly in my 2007 Honda Pilot EX-L. I found it much easier to remove the entire overhead console from the car by unscrewing all 4 mounting screws (2 under the dome light lens and 2 under the sunglass holder). Remove the two wire harness connectors from the back and take them to the workbench. Using a small screwdriver or knife, remove the assembly from the frame to remove the 4 ears (do this from the back). Note that when reinstalling, one of the two screws under the lens is…

Fixed annoying intermittent map light issue

My left map light in my 2011 CR-V was going on and off. I changed the lightbulb twice and found it wasn't the lightbulb. Tapping the plastic often brings it back. The dealer wanted to replace the entire headlight assembly at a high cost, a quick internet search revealed the switch itself as the likely culprit, which turned out to be true. The assembly is a little difficult to disassemble, but the process is quite simple. lasted every 10 minutes. Make sure you have a set of sockets on hand, the…

Beautifully finished and very easy to install

I ordered these over some cheaper alternatives and was pleasantly surprised to find that this set was made by the same OEM that made the original. Switch (Alps). No matter what brand you buy, you will spend about 2 minutes to install it after take out our console. Take a small straight blade screwdriver and push outward on the edge where the connection will be made. it will fly out. The new one is used without tools. One last tip, if you're considering buying them because your LED bulbs aren't…

Worked great in my '06 Pilot

One of the map lights in my '06 Pilot didn't work - wouldn't light up when the door was open and couldn't press the switch. Replacing the bulb didn't work either - a known-working bulb in the map's other light source didn't work in this one. After reading on the Piloters forum that this switch could be the culprit, I ordered it and followed the instructions I found online to remove the entire light assembly and replace the switch. I replaced both, although the other worked, as I find it's…

Don't worry: only a short-term solution.

Accord 2004 front map light. If the light stops coming on when you open the door but still works when you turn the light on manually with the button, that's the part that's failed. It fits perfectly and seems like a much better/cheaper option than replacing the entire card backlight assembly at 4x the price. It's true, it was easy to access and replace, and it really solved the problem. He got a star for that. However, they don't last at all! The factory switch lasted 10 years before failing. I

Works for Honda Pilot 2007!

This fits my ex's 2007 Honda Pilot, although Revane says it doesn't. Honda Garage does not sell these switches. They told me to replace the entire module for about $90. Symptoms: The driver card light did not come on when the door was opened, but functioned normally with the switch. Research has shown me that this strange problem is quite common on Honda vehicles. And the solution was to replace the switch. So my choice was to spend $12 for a theory test or $90 for a full module. The next…
