For me, the most appropriate word to characterize this lens is "normal". Especially for your money. Of course, it is not suitable for highly artistic works - this requires original lenses and not of this class. But for "operational work" - just right. And if something happens - not so sorry. Of course, it loses to the new native fifty dollars (which is STM) in autofocus, especially in accuracy and especially in backlight and motion shooting. And at such aperture it can be problematic. But in comparison with other amateur lenses with a mechanical drive, it focuses tolerably.
