Ball as a brand isn't much to say - it's always been around (my grandmother refused to use anything else to cannish). I bought some of these for food storage and they arrived intact. The glass is thick and feels premium. The seals are working well so far. Pretty much what I expected when I ordered them. They are great for canning, storage or even projects as some other reviewers have written. One piece of advice I can give if you are cleaning/reusing these jars is a set of cleaning brushes like these or similar. I know they're actually made for water bottles, but they're great for cleaning around the curved rim of regular-mouth cans. You can always buy wide mouth jars for easier cleaning.
