easier cleaning when canning

Ball as a brand isn't much to say - it's always been around (my grandmother refused to use anything else to cannish). I bought some of these for food storage and they arrived intact. The glass is thick and feels premium. The seals are working well so far. Pretty much what I expected when I ordered them. They are great for canning, storage or even projects as some other reviewers have written. One piece of advice I can give if you are cleaning/reusing these jars is a set of cleaning brushes like

Pros

Cons
  • Nothing

Can hold 16 ounces of sugar but no liquid!

Fooled once again by corporate gossip! The seller claims the glasses hold 16 oz. Why do people ask how much he holds? Because the jars don't look like they hold 16 ounces, and THEY SHOULD NOT! I poured 8 ounces (1 cup) of water into a measuring cup and poured it into a glass. I poured more water into the measuring cup and had to stop at 3/4 of the measuring cup because there was no more water in the bottle. Guess what? When I poured 6 ounces into the jar, the water came to the top of the jar…

Pros
  • Handsome
Cons
  • I'm worried

Good quality but not 16oz

**photos attached, fingers for reference because the water was so clear here** measured today when they arrived and they were right. These glasses aren't actually 16 oz, but they fit about 15 oz. The sizes on the side of the cans show a line where 12 ounces should be (but I haven't confirmed this was correct) and I'm sure that's enough if you're looking for a size in that range. Unfortunately I needed the full 16 ounces so I'll be back and trying to find more. Also, for people who see these…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • embarrassing
