Review on 🔧 MOOG K6527 Ball Joint: Optimal Suspension Enhancement for Enhanced Performance by Nate Ducey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I would like to know: Ball joints

I love Moog products and theoretically have no problems with these ball joints so if I could use them I would give them 5 stars without a doubt. I've changed ball joints before. But trying to remove the old ball joints from a 2003 Alero with rusty factory rivets proved a daunting task. After I drilled out the bottom of the rivets they were still in place and I had to remove the entire lower arm to remove the tips of the rivets and grind them down. And even then, there was no guarantee that they would come out without problems. These ball joints cost $50 each. If you look at Moog's new lower control arms with integrated (and riveted) ball joints, it's just another $14. If I had known what I was going through dismantling the lever, grinding and drilling out the old rivets, I would have bought new levers from the start. Saves time and they come with new bushings. In short, consider purchasing the entire forearm assembly, including the ball joint. You save yourself a headache.
