Review on Nuk3Y Degree Angle Viewer Nickel by Robert Sisco

I can see outside, but they can't see inside! Excellent door viewer. Ease of installation.

Crystal clear, this peephole is a safety must-have. I tested it and can't see anything when I look outside. There is no reason to buy a more expensive peephole with an internal protection plate. It's just an extra step to open the protection panel to see who's outside. It works perfectly. I installed it on a steel door myself in about 10 minutes. No instructions were provided, but it was an easy DIY and I'll explain how I installed it on the bottom of my steel door: 1) I found a height that worked well for both me and my wife, and marked the center of the door with a pencil 2) I used a stamp to make a small dent in the door where my pencil mark was. (This will prevent the drill bit from deviating from the mark when drilling). Perhaps a large nail can leave a small indentation on your mark if you tap it lightly and serve the same purpose. just drill. I drilled through the inside of the door panel despite the insulation in the door until I had a small hole through the outer door panel. 4) Then I went outside and used the small hole to complete the hole on the outside. (I made sure there was no insulation in the hole). 5) The peephole comes in two parts so I unscrewed them to separate them. 6) I then applied a small amount of all weather silicone sealant around the back of the lens edge. what goes on the outside of the door (to seal out moisture) 7) I pushed the part of the peephole that comes out on the outside of the door through the hole I drilled. 8) I then screwed the hollow cylindrical piece of peephole on the outside through the hole on the inside. (Tighten in two grooves first by hand and then with a butter knife because I didn't have a wide enough flathead screwdriver.) If you look at the pictures, the inside of my door is white and the outside is red. Note: I purchased and used a 9/16 or 14mm Bi-Metal Speed slotted hole saw specifically for this task. This drill worked great and made a perfectly clean hole. I was afraid that a regular 9/16 die would tear the steel plate on the door or create burrs. Hope that helps. Excellent peephole, highly recommended.
