good charging rate for the NEMA 14-30P version
Since I am living in a condo townhouse, my breaker can't support higher ampage, so I can only install a NEMA 14-30 outlet. I had a 16 AMP charger for my Honda Clarity, it charges at 3.8kwh. It was good enough to charge my Clarity from empty to full under 6 hours. However, we bought another EV (Tesla model S), so I needed something faster without electrical upgrade. With this new charger, my charge rate is close to 6kwh now, similar to those Chargepoint stations. I have been using it for a couple weeks now, so far so good.
