I bought my sister a few years ago. I was surprised by the quality and the lack of plastic parts. Recently my old French press broke. Instead of buying a new glass replacement I bought this one as it was almost the same price as a spare. Unfortunately this is not the same as what my sister received. The metal holder is oddly shaped, too narrow at the bottom and wider at the top. The glass tumbler doesn't fit properly and is so tight that I'm concerned that if I force it back in, it might break the glass. So I just use glass and slide the piece into an old metal holder from my previous French press. Unfortunately I no longer recommend it.
