I bought these to upgrade a 15 year old stainless steel cooktop and sink. I used Mothers Polish and after some elbow work the stainless steel was like new. I even healed deep scratches that I didn't expect. They come in a variety of grits, but I only used the finest because I didn't want to risk damaging the stainless steel. But the more aggressive beans appear only slightly more aggressive. In all the work I've done I've only used one pad. They are durable and appear to be of very good quality. I save the rest for other projects. PS After polishing and redoing the stainless steel I used Mother's Marine Wax to protect it and now the stainless steel is easy to clean. Make sure you grind the stainless steel grit. You can find videos on the internet on how to get your SS looking like new again.
