I've been an amateur mechanic for about 25 years. After replacing dozens of brake kits on different cars, I decided to spend some money and buy this kit for both my 2003 Explorer and my 2004 RAM 1500. My usual course of action would be to use the local parts store and buy the best pads they sell and put in a new set of discs in addition to the new pads. The increase in performance I've seen with the Power Stop kit has been nothing short of amazing. I noticed quicker responses and shorter, more controlled braking with almost no brake dust after over 4 months of daily use. The results of both cars were similar if not identical and I only changed the front brakes and rotors to RAM and all 4 sets were changed to Explorer. I wanted the highest stopping power possible for safety reasons and I definitely think this kit gave me that. The only comment I have is that they make a bit more noise and I believe that is due to the slotted and perforated rotors, but that only seems to happen in highway speed conditions with heavy braking. I will definitely buy them every time my cars need brakes.
