Attention! This is a medium thread. First, start with pure PLA or ABS. My gear: Lulzbot Taz5 with 0.5mm nozzle. I should update my review as I initially had trouble sharpening (see photo) but as I gain experience I realize it was my fault. Be careful not to burn the fur (don't accidentally overheat the fur) and use proper tension. Too loose or too tight and the extruder feeder may break the filament. I also reduced the retract frequency to reduce grinding. On my Taz 5 I print with a bed temperature of 100°C and a head temperature of 210°C and it comes out a nice tan color. I'll update with some photos when I get a chance. To get the correct tension on the plastic you can download the template online and print it out, but the steel washers need to be 8mm apart for 3mm threads (closer for 1.75mm threads). If you want to change the print color, you can try adjusting the temperature in 5°C increments. The hotter the wood gets, the more it will burn, but not too hot (stay below 400°F) to avoid burning the wood on the extruder head.
