Review on Interconnect Lithium Battery Powered Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector with Voice Alert - Combination Smoke & CO Alarm by Dave Willis

I switched to this model after being offered a Kidde model by the manufacturer that was over 5 years old and had expired. This model advertised a 10 year old lithium battery so I didn't have to mess with it. SALE! This new device also fits perfectly with the wall mount of the old device. I was very happy that I didn't have to drill new holes in my wall. I'll admit I've read enough installation instructions to get started. I decided to write this review because this morning the alert speech synthesizer was activated with the words "UT Amber Alert". WOW. I can receive cell phone signals! What an unexpected feature. It woke me up at 3:30 am, but that's not the alarm's fault. Cool device!
