It's almost impossible to find a single serve coffee maker that doesn't support K cups. I prefer using a paper filter as the K-Cup inserts that collect your coffee grounds are not as easy to clean and you shouldn't toss your coffee grounds down the chute. So I thought I finally found what I was looking for with this machine. Pros: Very easy to use. Great that it has a water tank so you don't have to refill for every cup of water. Looks good and is a good size. Different cup sizes were also important. : Produces weak coffee (regardless of the amount of coffee grounds used) and has no strong or mild coffee setting. Too expensive for a basic mediocre cup of coffee. I currently have a Ninja portion that makes great coffee and has all the features I need. But after about 6 months the cleaning light came on and wouldn't go off but the coffee was still brewing so I learned to live with it. But now, a year and a half later, when I try to brew a 12-ounce cup of coffee, it only fills my cup halfway. If only someone could make a decent one-off that didn't require K-cups!
