A convenient and easy way to whip up some bacon

We got our first one over 20 years ago. Used it all the time. Eventually some of the teeth broke off and we just wore them down. Or more specifically, we abused it enough that it made sense to replace it. So we got a replacement 11 months ago and threw the old one in the trash. The new one is gone! What a pain in the neck. Nobody in the family seems to have seen it! We've searched everywhere, but to no avail. I've read some reviews and the heck are you complaining about things? It's just great. It's cheap, it works, it lasts. Cleaning can be a little painful. My wife loves to fry well done bacon for recipes that call for bacon - well done bacon crumbs. (She cooks, I clean.) Sometimes bits of bacon get caught between the tines. We have a dish brush with bristles about 1.5 inches long and with a little maneuvering I can get any bits out between my teeth and then send them into the dishwasher. We've put ours in the dishwasher everywhere - the bottom rack didn't seem to cause too much trouble - I mean, frying bacon is pretty hot, right? Ah, shampoos. LOL We lost those 3 days after getting the thing I think. Sometimes the "cook" (she likes it when I call her cook) uses these long toothpick things, but usually not. ! What else could we expect?

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
