Review on ✨ Coarse Grade Atoma Diamond Sharpener #140 by Coby Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent for smoothing water stones and creating bevels

The best part is that the surface is extremely flat as far as I can tell, which was very important to me. This is how you can smooth out water stones very quickly. It's a bit slower than I expected for flattening the back of the chisel, but I haven't found anything faster either, so maybe it's as good as you can really hope? I also really appreciate its size. I have several smaller DMT panels and while they are excellent, the smaller size made them much more difficult to use for most applications. I have several water, oil and diamond stones and this one has become one of the most important in my collection. .Update: Well I've had this record for a long time now and it's still working well, albeit slower than expected. I still like it a lot and still think it might be the best value for money in its class, but I'm surprised at how slow it cuts. I'm really on the verge of whether I think it should be 4 or 5 stars because of that. Everything else is excellent, but when you buy a 140 grit stone expect it to pick up material like crazy. I think I would give 4.5 stars if I could. Buy it, but if you plan to use it to level a chisel or plane, don't expect miracles; it is still being trained. The main reason I edited this review in the first place was to add a picture I just took with a cheap USB microscope. Keep in mind that this is after about a year of use. The most interesting thing in the world.
