For the price, this microscope camera is unbeatable. The USB 3.0 interface enables higher video frame rates, which I think is an absolute requirement. The resolution (5 megapixels) is more than sufficient for brief microscopy. The slightly larger pixel size compared to the 9MP OMAX 9 results in a slightly wider dynamic range and slightly less noise. The supplied software facilitates the operation of the camera. I am viewing live images on an old Win XP computer designed for an old Nikon microscope. The calibration slider is a nice touch.
