First I have a 2010 Toyota Tundra. I had a factory antenna that broke flush so I had to take a drill and pull the bolt out slightly. Actually it was pretty easy. In this application the bullet was too thick to install easily as the rubber was fitted around the bolt but in the end I managed to remove the rubber a bit. Next, I will address the appearance. . I think it looks great. There's nothing more to say about that. I'd say the likelihood of it being an abandonment is pretty high considering it's very static and lacks feedback. It's fairly unobtrusive, so hopefully that helps a bit. In conclusion, I would say that the radio reception is only marginally better than no antenna at all. may work better for some than others.
