As for curling, they work great. Block easily and hold without question once blocked. This is a smaller size, suitable for .032 inch stainless steel safety wire, a decent amount of which is included in the pliers set. I've used them on many motorcycle grips and exhaust sleeves and it's possible they'll be used on some airplanes in the future as well. . I'm sure they work just as well in the twisted part as any other similar sized pair that will easily break the wire before failing or letting go. It cuts the safety wire into a strand, but not after twisting. To cut a twisted pair you need the best pair of handy cutters, which is minor but cumbersome.
