Review on πŸ”Œ Cobra Straight Power Cord: The Perfect Match for Cobra Radar Detectors by Andrew Kamkoff

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Good but not durable

I ordered a Cobra radar detector a few years ago and the twisted pair cable broke after a few months. I ordered this straight cord and when I received it I reinforced the point where the cord connects to the connector by coating it with shoe slime, a tough rubber shoe repair glue. It worked for 18 months and then broke just behind the part I had covered with shoe slime. Now I have to order another one. I need it so I have to order it. I'll try something else to make it stronger, but if I'm paying ten bucks for a power cord it should be able to handle the heat and cold it's designed for. Ten bucks cheaper than a new detector that works great but just a cheap foreign made sold shitmaker. Why not make it in the US and sell it for $15 or $20 so it lasts as long as a Cobra?

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
