In general, it works and does what it is supposed to. It keeps water from pooling around your faucet.I somehow thought it would slough off the water and it does for the most part. There are times that some beads of water stay on the silicone and doesn't fall into the sink. There is also a patch around the faucet stem that is suceptible to water falling in. This means it's still good to check under the mat from time to time and wipe.It's not the most aesthically pleasing thing to add to one's counter but it does help keep water from pooling. Wish there were more sizes and designs to choose from but so far the gray blends in enough with our countertop.
