This is ridiculous. They constantly pour "sand". The box they came in was full of 'sand' even though they are in a plastic bag - it leaks. My bird kept cleaning his paws when I dressed him because his paws were covered in "sand" and all the dirt flew all over the place. I put them on a stand and had to constantly sweep all the sand off the countertop and floor. I would not recommend them. Instead I started using veterinary wrap on the recommendation of the breeder I got my bird from and it works GREAT! Soft and spongy with a great feel, it comes in a variety of beautiful, bright colors that are attractive to birds. I wouldn't recommend it for large parrot owners - don't know how safe it is to chew - but for my 4 month old Green Cheek is great.
