I bought this because I dried fruit and vegetables. I wanted to make the slicing and shredding process easier and less time consuming so I purchased this item after researching a few others. He's lost 6 pounds. Onions in minutes! The quality is what I was hoping for and it's easy to use. I would not clean it in the dishwasher again as the inside of the lid is filled with water. The blades are larger than other brands I've reviewed, so there's less need to trim everything to fit a smaller area blade. Be careful when handling blades, they will cut your hand. I wish I had bought it sooner. This is a great cooking tool.
