Review on ๐Ÿ”ง 29 Piece Stanley 54-925 Multibit Ratcheting Screwdriver Set by Chris Shields

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No retention in the pen at all; not as well made as older models

I have an old Stanley ratchet screwdriver that only has six bits but they are all stored in the handle. Has a screw cap. It's my own fault for not reading carefully and assuming there would be similar storage for at least some bits. (Of course it couldn't save the whole set.) I'm deducting a star because this tool isn't as well made as my old one. The ratchet direction selection slider does not move easily, and it is difficult to stop in the middle (locked) position. Operating the switch with your thumb using an old screwdriver is easy. This new one just seems less well made. Also, my old one, although it only had six attachments, had a small flat blade and a large flat blade. Even though the new one seems to have a much larger selection of bits, the new one doesn't have the small flat blade at all. (The old one was perfect for the little screws on the wall switch covers.)
