Try this in place of a spring loaded rubber bumper that screws into the bottom outside corner of the door. It is adjustable and well made. The only potential difficulty is having to remove the top hinge pin from the hinge to insert it. I had a very hard time getting my new pivots off and that's certainly not the fault of this product. I bought a set of nails to use one under the pin with a hammer to pound the pin up and down. You might want to test how easy it is for you to knock out the pins before ordering. This is a wholesale package, not a retail package. Good value if you need to install them on a lot of doors (I've replaced door hardware on all interior doors in my house).
