Great repair product!

I used this to hide extensive damage (100 screw holes, previous door handle modifications) in a well used 90 year old front door. Even after I installed the wooden dowel in the groove and glued it in, there was nothing left on the remaining surface for the new door handle entry lock to rest on. This reinforcement provides that surface and adds some structural strength. It also makes the door acceptable until I polish it next summer. An oiled bronze finish would have been the only thing that would have made it better.
