Children were playing and tripped over a closed cheap door, breaking the latch and splitting the door. So instead of a new door, instead of drilling a new hole and plugging the brakes, they bought a new handle and fitted and reinforced the door. Like new really in about 20 minutes

The burglar broke open the door, she went through and strengthened more than originally. The door is like new. She came with her own screws and confusing instructions. I didn't even use cheap screws. I went to Homedepot and got the security bolts. Drilled a straight solid wood door and screwed everything together. Looks great, took 5 minutes to assemble.

I used this to hide extensive damage (100 screw holes, previous door handle modifications) in a well used 90 year old front door. Even after I installed the wooden dowel in the groove and glued it in, there was nothing left on the remaining surface for the new door handle entry lock to rest on. I had a problem with my bedroom door in my apartment building. Before we checked in, this door was clearly kicked in by someone. And home renovation decided to "fix" the door rather than replace it.
