iam an electrician and we drill a lot.of holes. in all.kinds.of.stuff plastic.hard steel.etc my company just.got a job to install 3 solar lite poles I had to put panels towards south. but light arm. in a different position so they don't make the holes for you.you must drill 5. 3/4 inch holes in a pole that's sick super thick .to with stand 140mph winds .this bit chewed through like butter .no cutting oil but I used slow rpm. got done in no time.
