We're raising red-eared babies rescued by a friend. will work until we have some more. I got these bulbs to replace the ugly red brood heater we awkwardly hang overhead. They stick very well to the top of the aquarium, even over the rim in the aquarium. It keeps our mooring at 80F from about the 10 inch range. If we get a larger aquarium, a second light will be needed to keep everything warm enough. The downside is I can't use the lid without a cage/cat that a friend has been leaning against us. It is not possible to use the light and this cover at the same time. The thermometer comes with a hygrometer and both are accurate. But it's huge and pretty cheap. To test this I attached a chip clip to the back of the aquarium and attached it to the side wall of the aquarium. But it's just terribly large and difficult to read unless you're at the right angle. I love that it comes with 3 bulbs. I guess that's in case someone doesn't survive the transport. But they all arrived in perfect condition. Didn't come in a box but in a closed transparent bag. But everything works fine. I wish the lamps were turned on higher to generate more heat. Or can be used with network coverage. But they work fine. Turtles are happy, that's the main thing.
