Review on Derale 16789 Amperage Controller Thread by Kenny Noel

I read all the reviews and decided to take a risk because this is the only one I could find with the possibility of setting two fans. My intuition told me to opt out based on the reviews, but there really aren't any other options if you need these features. ALL other negative reviews are spot on and unfortunately my intuition was correct. My situation was a little different than most. Both fans turned on and wouldn't turn off even with the yellow power button off! The ONLY way to remove them is to unplug the battery cable or cut the wires! I called Derale 800 and they said "The relays should stick, this module is blown." They don't sell direct so I'm going back to Revain for another one which I hope works properly; This allows me to fill in any holes I've already made in my car for that particular device. If you need this, a word of caution: DO NOT install it until it has been fully tested! Made in the USA and quite expensive...disappointing. Update - the second is not better, but worse. The exact opposite of what I bought last time. The fans NEVER come on, the relays just click frantically. I strongly advise you to stop selling this item as someone will lose the engine in their classic car and go insane like me. I hate doing something TWICE and now I have to find another solution and do it for the THIRD time! The giant American has failed! This piece of junk will not blow up my car.
