Raspberry Pi 4 is a good upgrade over 3B as everything runs faster. The Vilros kit is a good starter kit as it comes with a 3A USB-C power adapter, a mini HDMI to HDMI cable, heatsinks, a case and a nice easy to follow quick start guide. Of the components, I consider the case to be the weakest link - the connections wobble a bit. The fan makes an audible hum at low levels, but keeps the Pi at 38C when idling. Most likely, I'll replace the case with something quieter or with passive cooling. Problems arose during the first start where the Raspberry pI 4 could not boot from the MicroSD card. Since it was a public holiday, I looked around the forums and found that this is happening for a variety of reasons. In my case, updating the EEPROM to the latest version solved the problem. Since then there have been no problems.
