This lock activator is inexpensive and easy to install. The three screws that attach the latch to the door frame are very difficult to remove and require an impact wrench to prevent them. A few other reviewers have complained about having to reuse those three snap-on screws, but it doesn't matter as long as you don't screw them up. Yes, you'll also need to reuse the door knob's shank, but that's really not a problem. I will say the new latch doesn't work as smoothly as the normal part that was replaced - the new one clicks when the door is opened and closed but that's a. acceptable accommodation considering the price.
