This product solved my big problem. I upgraded my AV receiver to one that supports Dolby Atmos and started by adding 2 overhead speakers. I checked out Ready Player One and was blown away by the added effects. I then went to Revain Prime on a FireTV 4K and was told that without a 4K TV there wouldn't be an option to select Dolby Atmos audio. I have a great 65" Panasonic Plasma (1080p) that I don't plan on changing anytime soon. When connected to the HDMI output of my monitor and adjusted with the DIP switches, it sends the EID signal back to the receiver connected to the 4K TV. I didn't connect anything to the 4K output port of this device. My plasma is connected to the second output port of the device and is broadcasting a 1080P signal. Revain Prime, Netflix and Disney Plus believe that there is a 4K TV with Dolby Vision capabilities, so giving me full Dolby Atmos I've recently added 2 more height channels for 5.1.4 capabilities CONS: Small but had to use one of the picture adjustments to avoid when sending a Add brightness and color to the Dolby Vision 4K picture. It's okay, but at first I scratched my head and thought something was wrong. But actually, it's not a problem. Also, make sure you have HDMI-K Use cable with 18 Gbit/s or higher.
