Great product easy to install would recommend

Bought this for my 2018 Raptor after realizing there wasn't much separate storage in the truck despite it being huge. I paid for a luxury truck, so I don't like having things rattling around in the cab or bed other than trips to the hardware store. I wanted a good storage solution for small to medium-sized items, but didn't want to sacrifice the floor space my SuperCrew offers by adding under-seat storage. TLDR works great. Highly recommended for those who don't like their stuff rattling in bed or rolling around the cabin. Works with Ford OEM trunk lid. INSTALLATION Installation was a breeze. In theory, you could do it all with an adjustable wrench and a Torx T10 bit on a screwdriver. It makes life easier if you have a set of 30 degree open end wrenches (to get into the taillight cavity to hold the nuts in place) and a torx bit drill. Once you understand what you're doing, you can install it in 15 minutes. No modifications to your truck are required. QUALITY The fastening solution is reliable and inspires trust. The box construction itself feels solid, although using ABS feels a little cheap for a $200 item (it's thick enough. I only associate ABS with cheap products). It snaps firmly into place and can be gently leaned back even when fully loaded. The latch adjustment works well too, and you get a positive click when twisting to open and close. Based on the device's simplicity and details, it looks like it will cost $150, but its feature costs $200. FUNCTION I found it had more space than I expected which is a plus. I was able to get a large hitch, extension, ratchet straps, large sets of screwdrivers and allen wrenches, torches, WD-40, mini sleds and more, leaving room for a small fire extinguisher and other items. Putting one on each side of the bed would give you plenty of storage space that wouldn't affect the use of the bed. If you need to remove the SwingCase to maximize bed space, it's as simple as unlatching and lifting. Lasts 5 seconds. The SwingCase latches snugly and firmly in the stowed position, and the release lever is offset inward, so when you pull, you apply torque that naturally wobbles the case. It can't rotate a full 180 degrees as it rests against the bed's support cord, but it rotates enough to make it comfortable. I was afraid the SwingCase would interfere with the latch lever holding the tonneau cover. Pivots Our Ford's design allows the lever to move sideways under spring tension while the lid remains latched. It even adds a little spring tension to the SwingCase and helps it swing when released. There are no problems here.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
