Review on πŸšͺ Citiloc Round Bed/Bath Privacy Pocket Door Latch: Satin Nickel for Enhanced Privacy and Elegance by Mike Ken

I like it better than other brands.

I purchased this style because the door I used for the sliding door was taken from elsewhere in my house and already had lock holes cut into it. I preferred the way this brand worked over Stanley. The lock set I received is in the picture with a rotary knob as shown in the picture. According to the instructions, one side of the knob is longer, but this is not the case with this model. It was easy enough to install and a little annoying to set up. It fits the 2-3/8" backing that was already cut into my door. It fits the hole but doesn't lock the size of the previous set of locks. Easy to fix but note you may have to die Having to fill in marks and paint. The bolt doesn't fit the body perfectly which caused me some inconvenience. Also I had to sand the back of the latch (strike plate) as the door after adjustment wouldn't let the latch pin fully insert into the latch. Trick. A little sanding with a rotary tool and now it works as it should. It comes with 2 sets of screws for different door thicknesses. It installed on my 1-3/8" door with shorter screws. Hard to grab and hold turn. This puts pressure on the door, which can move with the latch so it won't close. It takes some creative carpentry to fix it This. Ar work to reduce door movement at the bus stop. We'll see how it goes. Overall I'm not thrilled with it, and it works for what I need it for.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Vulgarity
