Review on Fermtech Regular Deluxe Siphoning Auto by Shedrick Roach

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Should have bought these years ago

The final step in winemaking has always seemed the most frustrating and difficult to me. I mean start the siphon and move the siphon tube from the filled bottle to the next empty bottle. You always end up spilling your precious wine and making a mess in the kitchen. When the bottles are full, you have to fiddle with the filling level control in the bottle necks. If you leave too little space for air in the neck of the bottle, the air will be so compressed when you insert the cork that it partially pushes the cork out of the bottle. The automatic siphon is a two-piece pump that triggers a powerful flow. In a single pump tube, a plastic clip held the device securely in place, both in my fermentation bucket and bottle, making this a hands-free operation. Profiler works great. You place it on the bottom of an empty bottle and the valve at the bottom opens to start filling the bottle. When the wine reaches the top of the bottle, lift the Profiller off the bottom of the bottle and the flow will stop immediately. Pulling out the Profiler to insert it into the next empty bottle will block the flow. The only loss is a drop or two falling from the outside of the profiler. The Profiller is very ingeniously engineered to displace just enough wine to keep the level in the bottle in the perfect spot. I stuff the neck a bit, but not enough to disturb the placement of the cork. Today I poured my 2020 wine quickly, easily and without the frustration of spilling wine. I should have bought these devices years ago.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
