Review on Wireless Driveway Resistant Detector 1Receiver by Balthazar Cooper

After a couple of delivery men startled my wife by knocking on the kitchen door at our new farmhouse, I knew I had to do something. After checking all the options and not wanting to change the batteries, I settled on this solar powered device. It was a few dollars more expensive, but it seems like a well-designed device. And no replacement for empty batteries! I got everything up and running in minutes. I used the included stainless steel screws to attach it to a pole near our driveway. The device is aimed across a clearing approximately forty feet where our driveway joins the property. I had to set it to maximum to read the full distance. The device is probably no more than 50 meters away from the receiver, which I placed out of sight of the kitchen cupboard in the house. That works great. He had already seen my wife come into the driveway to check our mailbox. He also found a car coming and going and my neighbor coming and going in his tractor. We'll see how long it lasts but for now I'm very happy with this purchase. I am planning to buy another detector to put next to the machine shop and another receiver for my workshop. UPDATE: 09/26/19: I am ordering another receiver to install in my shop building. The receiver in the house does a great job of alerting us when someone is entering the driveway. But I also wanted to be warned when I was in my distant storage building. The second receiver in the shop building also works great! We are very satisfied again!
