Review on 14,000 Lumen Dual Head LED Work Light With Waterproof Stand, 10 Ft Cord, Individual Switches, And Adjustable Tripod - Perfect For Outdoor Lighting Projects by Tim Nicholas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Impressive unit with a lot of smart, useful additions.

Short version: WORTH IT. Super bright, super yellow, lighting section unclips from stand section(!), back of one light has USB power ports and back of the other has a 110v outlet. Lights are large yet slim, no substantial heat output—if you knock this over, it won’t burn down the shelter that you’re paying the bank to live in like your old halogen work light desperately wants to.Less short version:If you were to ask my wife if I needed a new height-adjustable dual-headed work light, she’d say "What? No. You have that blue one with the paint splatters all over it.” If you asked me, I’d probably be a little freaked out as I have no idea who you are and requesting random tool advice of a stranger is a wild course of action. I guess unless you’re Tom Hanks. Just seems like an all-around nice guy.So when this thing showed up on the doorstep with LED WORK LIGHT printed nice and big on the box, there was some question as to how many of these things an average homeowner needs. One. Just the one. But it helps if the unit isn’t a 20+ year old Hobo Fright™ halogen unit that, while admittedly bright, becomes arm-searing-hot within minutes and likely adds more to my Duke Energy bill than my neighbor’s Nissan Leaf does.As with most any non-name-brand item produced half a world away, the assembly instructions for this are abysmal. Like, the worst I’ve ever seen. Two or three postage stamp sized pictures and no accompanying verbiage. Cool, thanks. Killer effort guys. That said, if you need to do the kind of work a lamp like this calls for, you can figure out what goes where. I believe in you. While assembling something really stood out to me that I didn’t anticipate—the quality of everything from the hardware, to the painting, to the tolerances, is all remarkably solid. Though, priced around a cool hundo USD, it really should be, shouldn’t it?Anywho. Two thumbs up for this one, pleasantly surprised. Pick up one of your own, or start checking into your local Goodwill for the halogen light I’ve just donated, you bold so-and-so. Is a life lived without danger really a life lived?
