Review on 📷 Enhanced Imagelab FS5CO5 Slide and Negative Scanner - 5 Megapixel for Superior Scanning by Chris Palmer

I have done about 1000 scans so far and overall I like the scanner. The price is right, but there are a few trade-offs if you're critical of the details. First the cons - the 35mm image is not fully captured when scanned. You need to crop the image to some extent. I would estimate it at 10-15%. Sometimes it's difficult. The color rendering is also bad. Most old negs I make aren't that good anyway, but the color isn't very accurate. Pros: The price is right. Good flexibility when using a memory card instead of a computer. It's much easier to work at a large table with good lighting in a comfortable environment. Speed - you can perform a large number of scans in a very short time. The quality suits me. It's okay if you have a lot of black and white images. Tried a few slides and these suffered worse from color degradation. I don't think I would recommend this to someone using color slide media. Imagelab works fine for my purpose. I can't wait to share all the old photos with family and friends.
