My family eats mostly chicken and fish, so I cook and chop about 5-6 pounds of chicken every 10 days for chicken salads, tacos, etc. I guess these things make chopping meat faster and easier, so mine against that common sense decided to give them a chance. They just aren't as effective as a pair of good serving forks, they're too awkward to hold and not very effective; I still had to disassemble many large parts by hand. Now I can see how they will probably shred a pork shoulder decently if you use one to pierce the meat (which you can do with a fork) and the other to shred. But properly cooked pork shoulder almost falls apart, if you look closely it can be cut with a toothpick. As far as I can tell I got real bear paws, at least the packaging is as advertised; However, I doubt these things will survive long-term use. Will go ahead and bring them back and stick to the tried and true method of two large serving forks.
