bought these to hold my "barely wide enough new ironing board cover on the board". The first one broke in my hands (sewing on the elastic cut the elastic). I carefully stretched out the other 3. The short one very near the end of the board. It actually only extends 5 inches from end to end, including clamps. The bottom line is they are barely functional, low quality and don't do what old ironing board attachments do. I bought these because I've always used Dritz products as a kid and expected better quality and quality control. It is clear that they are no more. However, I haven't found a real alternative. If you expect only 2 out of 3 to work and you just want a skinny tie then they will work just fine.
