, I'm not the guy testing this product on how fast it actually transfers data. I have connected external hard drives to it and the data transfer speed is fine for me. I don't do anything intensive with these discs like video editing or anything else. Fast charge ports appear to do just that and charge my phone quickly, although I don't know how to test that either. The construction of the product appears to be very solid, which is not cheap construction in my opinion. It feels like it's going to last forever. The only problem I had with connecting external hard drives to my iMac was that every time the computer went to sleep, each hard drive would literally "eject" about 100 times. I had to click and click and click to finally get all the alerts off my screen. This has nothing to do with the product, but with Mac OS. After a long time searching various forums for MANY people with the same problem, I finally found a product called Jettison for $5 that completely solves this problem and is worth every penny of that $5 if someone else has the same problem with Mac OS has.
