I was really surprised by the quality of these pliers. After giving up on several other "durable" pliers, I finally got this pair. If you're buying grandma's speaker clamps then this isn't for you. They are too expensive. But if you're buying them for permanent use and want something that will cut through both solid and stranded cables without leaving a burr and last for years, this is a great candidate. I've been using them for a month and they still feel like new. I doubt I'll ever need to buy pliers again. What impresses me is: smooth, smooth operation (NO stiffness right out of the box), gapless cutting for clean, burr-free cuts, and good jaw grip to prevent slipping.
