Review on Food-Grade Stainless Steel Cherry Pitter & Strawberry Huller Tool with πŸ’ Space-Saving Lock Design - Portable Kitchen Aid for Cherry & Olive Pit Removal by Paul Romero

This one would be a steward

I had several cherry pit removers and they all ended up in the trash. I love cherries (and olives, too), but I can't stand the chore of pitting them. Despite the excessive advertising of this product, I decided to give it a try anyway. See below why this product would have received five stars but lost two due to misleading advertising. VALUE The first thing that struck me was the price of almost eight dollars when I can buy a cherry stone in bulk for around a dollar. But reading all those ads convinced me to at least try. I'll never know if it's worth the price until I try it. Most corers are made from cheap cast aluminum and require almost as much labor as coring by hand. It's made of unusually thick plastic with a silicone material that keeps the fruit securely in place, which is very unusual, but for good reason. It works out. FEATURES Aside from the unique silicone fruit centering insert, I love that the pitting stick is made of solid stainless steel and looks like it will last a long time. I also like that this device is big, it allows me to press hard on the pit, especially on olives. And finally, there's a cool spoon that lets you pick up the fruit, roll it back into the red insert, and scoop out the cherries with one simple movement. LOST A FEW STARS These people exaggerate their advertising to the point where it is misleading or comes close. I mean at least two things, one of which is the way they portray it with apples, oranges, grapes and other fruits. Obviously, oranges and grapes cannot have pits, and oranges have small pits, not big pits. They think they're in a legal safety zone by saying fruit can't be taller than 1.37 inches, but that doesn't make the fact that they show life-size photos of oranges, apples, etc. any more honest. Dishonest advertising should not be rewarded. Likewise when they refer to Kitchen Aid in their title in capital letters. This is a quality brand and this product is not made by them, they don't even make it, they just resell it. This deprives them of the second star. YES OR NO On the same page you can see that this particular tool is distributed by many other companies. My suggestion is to look for a more honest seller on their sites and buy the same from them. Again, bad behavior should not be rewarded.
