Shakers and S/P stands look sleek but internal connectors are cheap plastic. I was dying to have this product on the table for special meals at our riverside home. It broke the third time using this product. When I took the lid off I found that the internal cheap plastic connector on the ground pepper was cracked/broken in 2 places. I didn't use this product on a daily basis, but rather for specialty dishes. I am ashamed that I did not use the product more often before the return period expired. So I'm stuck with a broken product.
