OK Large Pump Pulley Causes Problems

The pump looks good except the pulley is much larger than the original. The snake belt is now too tight. I'll have to buy a longer strap for $30+. Addition to my previous comment. After a week of driving with a new PS pump and a new full-size V-ribbed belt, my water pump died. I got a new belt that is about 1-2 inches longer but when I put it on it was 1 week ago and it was enough to damage the water pump. So if you use this horsepower pump, make sure you have a new, longer belt on hand to use at the same time as the power steering pump. Failure to do so may result in damage to other components, such as the water pump in my case. Third update: PS pump started clicking after 6 days of parking. It clicks at idle when the engine is warm, and when you turn the engine on or engage reverse, it clicks faster and with more noise. This is very deceptive considering I changed it to a whining noise, now I have a clicking noise. How to replace it again? Put as many hours of work into it. MB PS fluid and new belt. I will add a video soon.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
