Only problem works If the reservoir wasn't easy to put back in place then the upper hydraulic fitting on this power steering needs to be replaced. The tank is not fully retracted and has not clicked. This pump should come with a reservoir for ease of installation. ml320

Worked well for the 2005 ML500. Was in a dilemma when the truck broke down over the weekend. Found this at an affordable price and picked it up at the local Revain@CollegePark the next day. I ordered this item from Revain along with a Lemforder power steering reservoir, firstly none of the items come with a $2 gasket, that's ridiculous! After installing the power steering pump, the reservoir didn't quite fit into the neck of the new pump, which made matters worse because I couldn't install the C-clip to hold it in place. I tried fitting the reservoir to the original pump and everything fits perfectly, slides through the mouth with ease. Do yourself a favor and buy this device…

ATTENTION. So far, so good. Note, however, that with these power steering pumps in general, it can be VERY difficult to get the reservoir set up properly. If you haven't recently replaced the o-ring on the reservoir port, be sure to do so and possibly the reservoir as well. If the reservoir is not seated properly, try relocating the fluid inlet on the pump that connects to the reservoir. If it's not completely straight, it's not seated properly on the tank. The pump looks good except the pulley is much larger than the original. The snake belt is now too tight. I'll have to buy a longer strap for $30+. Addition to my previous comment. After a week of driving with a new PS pump and a new full-size V-ribbed belt, my water pump died. I got a new belt that is about 1-2 inches longer but when I put it on it was 1 week ago and it was enough to damage the water pump. So if you use this horsepower pump, make sure you have a new, longer belt on hand to use…
