Review on 🔒 Dorman Help! 41068 Spare Tire Securement Device by Jason Daves

Apparently we've been driving without the spare tire hanger installed for years (huge safety issue). Didn't realize it until I mounted a subwoofer on a JBL spare tire (fits well, sticks out a bit, but no big deal). The standard rod wasn't long enough so I had to find a longer J-hook. It was ENOUGH to mount both the hoop and subwoofer and left me about 3 inches (that's what she said). The build quality seemed much more solid than the stock with an all-metal lock nut. I strongly recommend taking one. Imagine a loose spare tire flying forward without it in an accident. Very grateful for this product. Especially on a hatchback, your security is worth $6. Fits a 1988 Mustang 5.0 that has been freshly cut to length with a Dremel.
