after I drilled the hole for the bolt. I have a 2017 GMC 2500HD with a 2-1/2" receiver Category V, and all the locking pins I've tried (Reese, Kurt, etc.) blocked the security chain lugs. One of the Q&A says the hardened master lock cylinder/pin is 1/4" but slightly larger. I used a 9/32" bit and widened the receiver pin hole to fit the lock perfectly! Master Lock's brass appears to be of high quality as are most of their products. Which is better? This solution costs 1/3 or less of the pre-made locking pins and is much easier to use!
